The article was interesting but i don't think that Quora is for me, as is mentioned in the article once it went live the quality of answers and questions dropped quite a bit. it seems immposible you could keep all the idiots of the internet off of it.

this article was of some interest to me but i wouldn't use this site even if the answers were right. Like other sites like this it is impossible to keep all the people who want to mess with people off of it.

I agree with Matthew. The internet has become a nesting ground for idiots. Not srs bsns.

If Quora stays small, and manages not to attract the attention of every highschool student looking for an answer to their math problem, it might work.

Quora seems like a good mix between facebook twitter and wikipedia. although it's not hugely popular now it does have the potential to grow. the fact that everyone has to use their real name might eliminate people there post dumb answers, but like matthew said, its impossible to keep all the idiots off the internet, if they want it to become more popular thay might have to develop ways to eliminate the good answers from the bad, not just by the voting system. nevertheless i might use it to see if anything is worthwhile.

I don't think that quora will become more popular. It's not something that i would use because there is google, yahoo, ask jeeves where you can ask questions instead which is more popular.

Quora seems interesting. i think the biggest downfall would be it getting to be a well known website like facebook because people would start messing around with it and asking questions where theyre just trying to get a reaction from it. Or people could answer wrong on purpose.
This website would lead to a lot of cheating on assignments like math and physics problem sets. Its just going to be another one of those sites that teachers wont like, it will turn into wikipedia

My general idea of this website, is that it's just another wikipedia. I love wikipedia, and use it all that time, but the problem is that the information isn't always reliable -- many teachers won't even let you reference the information you find there.
But, this website will likely be good for the smaller and more general questions in life.
If they can figure out a way to eliminate the inaccurate information, as they are trying to do with the liking of the answers, and it is actually able to maintain accuracy, I think it'll be great.

This website seemed good to use, and I see how it could be addicting. However their are other resourses such as google and wikipedia that are easier to use, and have more information on them. When I was on the website quora, I noticed that most of the top answers posted were quoted from google or wiki. So I see room for this site to expand, but I don't think it will ever end up as big as facebook, youtube or twitter for social networking, or ever be a valid resource for research.

Quora doesn't seem like it would be anywhere close to the success of Facebook, Twitter or Wikipedia. I think this website is going to be good for a certian amount of people and attract some viewers but I don't think it will develop into something like Facebook.

I like the idea of Quora, it's a different, interesting website compiled of wikipedia, yahoo answers, facebook, and twitter all together. Success wise, I don't think it will get as many users as facebook or twitter because it's not as interactive as those websites. I feel like it is a very good research tool and would be great for school.

I don't think Quora will be as big as a hit as facebook and twitter. But who knows as time goes by it might be the biggest Q & A website. As for right now, i think people already have their favorite websites that they use to get all their questions answered. It just may become the new Wikipedia for the younger generation.

I think Quora is somewhat of a cool idea, but it seems like the success rate of it won't be that high. It seems like Quora won't get kick started and be as big as facebook, twitter, wikipedia. This is because it's already somewhat the same as sites out there. The problem with this is, how do you know your getting the highest trusted answer all the time. Overall I think it just won't get as big as any existing sites.

    The article was very informative
(for me anyways seeing as i'd never heard of Quora before reading this article)
and it gave me a much welcomed insight as to what it was all about.
In my opinion it seems that it would be almost impossible to find
experts for every topic that may or may not be brought up on Quora.
For this reason I can see Quora not reaching the popularity of its' founders' former website.

I feel that Quora will be great for general research and school. I highly doubt that it will ever be as big as facebook and twitter.

I dont really think Quora will be a big hit. Because people are already using facebook and twitter, its not like we will need another social networking page. Although it is a good idea of combinding some of the top sites we use, I just don't think it will be a big hit.

Quora seems to me like a great web tool for finding informatoin about virtually anything. i find myself constantly searching the web for random answers to questions i need, and i feel llike quora will help with this. however i feel like it will be less like facebook, and more like a website one would visit about once a week when they nees to know something.

i like the idea of Quora. asking specific questions instead of a subject can result in more detailed answers about what you would like to know. if this site stays clean and is always maintained with reliable answers Quora could grow but i don"t see that anytime soon.
